Second Lieutenant Ilshat Valiev commanded a motorized rifle platoon during the assault on a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation on April 17.

The enemy actively resisted, using attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Valiev led the Russian assault group and competently organized the work of the military personnel. As a result, it was possible not only to occupy the AFU stronghold, but also to eliminate the UAV crew, as well as enemy personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the competent actions of Corporal Roman Sedov, who performed tasks as a rifleman of a motorized rifle unit.

Under the conditions of continuous artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the work of enemy electronic warfare (EW), Sedov conducted reconnaissance and discovered a camouflaged enemy warehouse. The corporal calculated the coordinates of the target and passed them to the gunners. With a targeted strike, the warehouse where the ammunition of the AFU unit was stored was destroyed.

On April 16, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told how Guard private Yuri Khatenov, as part of the head patrol group, participated in the storming of a fortified position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
