Trump has allowed an agreement between Israel and Lebanon in the coming weeks.
In the coming weeks, Israel and Lebanon will meet to conclude a peace agreement, possibly negotiations will take place in the United States. This was announced on April 16 by the American leader Donald Trump.
"I think we will come to an agreement. And they will probably do it at the White House in the next week or two," CBC News quoted him as saying.
Trump also called the situation with Lebanon "encouraging." According to the American leader, the ceasefire between the countries will extend to the Hezbollah movement.
On this day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that the IDF would not leave Lebanon after the cease-fire. The ceasefire itself is scheduled for midnight on April 17th.
At the same time, Trump said that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a 10-day cease-fire after trilateral negotiations. The head of the White House noted that representatives of the two countries met in Washington for the first time in 34 years with the participation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
