The Russian currency has shown a sharp decline against major foreign currencies on the exchange and over-the-counter markets. According to the website of the Moscow Stock Exchange, in a few minutes the yuan jumped by 1.32%, reaching 11.2085.

Compared to the close of the previous trading day, the growth of the Chinese currency amounted to 1.33%. By 11:15 Moscow time, the yuan's strengthening slowed to 0.85%, and the exchange rate adjusted to the level of ₽11.15555.
