The death toll in Lebanon from Israeli airstrikes has risen to 2,196.

In Lebanon, the total death toll reached 2,196 people during Israeli airstrikes. This was announced on March 16 by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

"The total number of victims of the conflict from March 2 to April 16 increased to 2,196 dead," the ministry's website says.
