Prolonged illness caused the death of the artist Krotov.
The cause of death of the artist Viktor Krotov, who is considered the founder of the Moscow school of romantic surrealism, was an illness that had developed over the past few years. This was announced on Thursday, April 16, by representatives of his family.
"He has been ill for a very long time in recent years," they said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Krotov's relatives said he felt "very unwell" and also suffered from shortness of breath.
Recently, the artist, according to his relatives, reacted quite painfully even to "slightly disturbing" information. According to the agency's interlocutors, his spine was curved due to his profession and his legs hurt.
Krotov's death at the age of 81 was reported to Izvestia a day earlier by his son, who at that time did not specify the circumstances of his death. The artist, as reported, was a member of the Moscow City Committee of Graphic Artists and the creator of his own art school. He contrasted his work with the darker and more grotesque art trends of the 20th century, which he considered unnecessarily cruel.
