Irises have become the most affordable flowers this spring, but seasonal plants bring the greatest benefit to customers. Polina Voronina, director of b2b marketing at Flowwow flower and gift marketplace, told Izvestia about this on April 21.
"Irises are most often associated with garden plants. Such a bouquet is more often taken to decorate the house, rather than as a gift. In this segment, they compete with primroses — daffodils, hyacinths and azaleas. The average check for them is slightly higher — from 2.9 thousand to 3.4 thousand rubles," she said.
According to the expert, tulips, dianthuses and alstroemeria remain the most profitable to buy. Their season lasts from March to early June, and the cost remains relatively affordable. The specialist clarified that, on average, a bouquet of irises will cost 2,722 rubles, tulips — 3,080 rubles, dianthuses — 3,223 rubles, and alstroemeria — 3,894 rubles.
According to her, the most popular flowers in spring are roses, tulips and alstroemeria. At the same time, after April, the demand for tulips decreases, giving way to dianthuses. In addition, she noted that peonies are one of the most expensive flowers of the season — the cost of one stalk can reach 900 rubles, but high interest in them remains due to their popularity on social networks.
