An exhibition of cats and dogs from shelters opened at the Easter Gift Festival
An educational special project "A Mosquito x a Four-legged Friend" has started on Tverskaya Boulevard in the center of Moscow, dedicated to caring for pets and animals that live in shelters. The action, which is held as part of the Easter Gift festival, is organized jointly with the Moscow City Economy Complex and the Metropolitan Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy.
Until April 19, guests of the Tverskoy space will receive consultations from veterinarians and dog handlers, lectures and master classes. There you can also see and even walk with animals from shelters, which you can take home.
A special program has been developed for those who plan to get a cat or dog. Pets from Moscow shelters will be brought to the site every day — over 200 cats and a dog will visit there in just four days. Everyone will be able to walk with their favorite animal, accompanied by a volunteer, receive care recommendations and, if desired, take the cat or dog home after the interview. The new owners will receive a special box from the project partner, a pet store chain.
Specialists from the Moscow Veterinary Committee will conduct inspections at the mobile wind farm, provide advice on nutrition and maintenance, as well as rabies vaccination and chipping. Agility classes will be held at the dog training area with a full set of equipment. There are also lectures on care, consultations with zoopsychologists and an introduction to digital services, including the Mospitomets project, for owners.
As part of the event, a "Kind Exhibition" will be held on Tverskaya Boulevard, where ten artists will show their art objects inspired by their pets and real animal stories. It will be possible to purchase clothes and accessories for pets at the open-air market. A cafe will be open for guests, and a playground for practicing with animals will also be open.
