Four people became victims of an accident on the M-12 highway in the Kaibitsky district of Tatarstan.

A traffic accident occurred in the Kaibitsky district of Tatarstan, as a result of which four people were killed. This was announced on April 16 by the Prosecutor's Office of the republic.

"At approximately 05:40 on April 16, 2026, Hyundai Solaris and Valdai Louis vehicles collided on 709 km of the M-12 highway in the territory of the Kaibitsky district. As a result of the accident, the driver and three passengers of a passenger car were killed," the supervisory authority said in a Telegram channel message.

According to the prosecutor's office, the driver and three passengers of the car died at the scene of the accident. Igor Osipov, the prosecutor of the Kaibitsky district, went to the scene to coordinate actions.

An inspection is currently underway, and the causes and circumstances of the incident are being established. The course of the proceedings is under the control of the district Prosecutor's Office.
