The former commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine extorted money from ordinary militants

Dmitry Glushchenko, a former commander of the fourth rifle battalion of the 108th separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), with the call sign Tor, extorted money from soldiers of his unit every month. This was reported on April 16 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"Glushchenko <... He organized a corruption scheme in which the battalion's command staff systematically extorted money from the rank and file," the structures said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the forced appropriation of money was carried out under the threat of creating unbearable conditions of service and being sent to the most dangerous sectors of the front without proper security.
