On April 15, the GosSOPKA forum, which was dedicated to technologies and means of detecting cyber attacks, came to an end in Moscow.

The Forum was held from April 14th to 15th. On its final day, the participants discussed how the introduction of domestic solutions and new infrastructure affect the real level of cybersecurity of organizations.

For example, Peter Altunin, head of the Inter RAO monitoring center, noted that when companies switched to Linux, it turned out that the standard settings of this system did not always provide the necessary level of protection.

In turn, Pavel Bogai, head of the Kryptonite Information Security Department, noted that the implementation of all cybersecurity recommendations could lead to excessive tightening of the infrastructure. As a result, the system may become so inflexible that it will no longer be able to cope with its main tasks. Therefore, it is important to maintain balance and flexibility in decision-making when ensuring security.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on March 4 that the number of cybercrimes in Russia has decreased, including against pensioners. As the head of state noted, the reduction in the number of crimes became possible thanks to the work of law enforcement agencies, special services and law enforcement agencies. Putin also noted the need to strengthen efforts to compensate victims, especially those who have lost their savings and become debt-dependent.
