The fire season started in the Irkutsk region on April 15. This is due to the onset of stable dry and warm weather.

According to IA IrkutskMedia, the season began in nine forestry districts — Goloustnensky, Kirovsky, Usolsky, Slyudyansky, Angarsk, Irkutsk, Ust-Ordynsky, Shelekhovsky and Cheremkhovsky. Access to forests is restricted in the territories.
