An employee of the highest mountain weather station in Russia and Europe, Sulak Vysokogornaya, who was stuck alone, may be left without food. Magomed Magomedov, the head of the meteorological station, said this in an interview with Izvestia.

According to him, a helicopter will take off early in the morning for rescue. If the employee could not be evacuated due to the weather conditions, he asked to "transfer a bag of flour and diesel fuel."

"Going down and up is very avalanche-prone. It's not possible at all. There's no way," Magomedov said.

On April 15, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Dagestan reported that an employee of the Sulak Vysokogornaya weather station had sent a distress signal due to heavy snowfall. It was not possible to pick up the station employee, but the helicopter pilots delivered food, heating equipment and an electric power generator. It is noted that there is currently no threat to the safety of the meteorologist.
