Finland has decided to put 112 self-propelled guns on the border with the Russian Federation

The Finnish Ministry of Defense has placed an order for the purchase of 112 K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers, which will be delivered to the Russian-Finnish border. This was reported by Military Watch Magazine (MWM) on April 15, 2026.

"The Finnish Ministry of Defense has placed an order for the purchase of additional 112 155 mm K9 Thunder self—propelled howitzers, while the guns are expected to be concentrated in large numbers on the country's 1,340 km long border with Russia," the publication notes.
