President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed a law "On changing codes of administrative responsibility", which includes fines for LGBT propaganda (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), gender reassignment and childfree. This was announced on April 15 on the website of the head of state.

"A separate section is devoted to the protection of traditional values. Responsibility is being introduced for propaganda of homosexual relations, sex change, pedophilia and childlessness in the form of a fine of up to 900 rubles, and if committed against a minor — up to 1,350 rubles or administrative arrest," the message says.

The press service of Lukashenko clarified that, among other new restrictive measures, penalties are being introduced for illegal operations with digital tokens, violation of requirements for coverage of territories with cellular communication services and non-compliance with the procedure for purchasing official cars.

On March 16, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin expressed the opinion that the policy of European countries on gender reassignment and the expansion of transgender rights could lead to a great tragedy. He pointed out that the issue of whether only biological women can bear and give birth to children has recently been discussed in the European Parliament. According to the Chairman of the State Duma, the voting results indicate degradation.
