Moscow Mayor and Patriarch Kirill visited the Easter Gift Festival
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Patriarch Kirill visited the site of the Easter Gift festival in Gorky Park. The renovated Pushkinskaya Embankment in the park is one of the new venues of the festival, the head of the capital emphasized in his channel in the MAX.
"This festival is a bright event in the capital, which has already become a good tradition. The Easter Gift is a charity event where you can help those in need, and, of course, our soldiers who are fighting in the special military operation zone," Sobyanin wrote.
The festival takes place on April 11-19 at 31 venues, most of which are located in residential areas. In addition, some events are organized on the territory of five churches — the Life-Giving Trinity in the Sviblovo estate, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kulishki, the Resurrection of the Living on the Assumption of the Virgin, St. Sergius of Radonezh in Solntsevo and the Epiphany Cathedral in Elokhovo.
A fair, exhibitions, and master classes are open on the renovated Pushkinskaya Embankment as part of the festival, the mayor said. An action "Mospitomets x Four-legged friend" has been organized on Tverskaya Boulevard to help animals from the capital's shelters find a home. In addition, sports competitions, concerts and performances by theater groups are held for visitors.
As part of the festival, the "Houses of Kindness" of the Moscow Helps project have been opened, where you can bring gifts for the participants of your community and children living in new regions, as well as pet supplies for the wards of shelters. There is a charity fair on Tverskaya Square, where goods from non-profit organizations are sold.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
