The first photo of the new B-21 bomber of the country's Air Force was shown in the USA.

The American B-21 Raider strategic bomber was shown for the first time in a photo where its upper part is fully visible. As noted by the April 15 edition of TWZ, the manufacturer previously published images of only the front and sides.

The picture was provided by Northrop Grumman — it was taken during the air refueling tests of the first aircraft with its own name Cerberus ("Cerberus").

The company noted that more than $5 billion was allocated for the creation of the production infrastructure. The first planes are expected to arrive at Ellsworth Air Force Base in 2027.

According to the portal, the B-21 is smaller in size than the B-2 Spirit stealth bombers in service, but it has a longer flight range. According to the authors, the new model is probably equipped with two engines instead of four, like its predecessor.
