Sibiga criticized Israel for buying Russian grain
On April 15, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, in a conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that Tel Aviv accepts grain ships from Russia.
"Such illegal trade <...> is unacceptable," Sibiga outlined the contents of the conversation on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
He also noted that during the conversation, security issues and the current situation in the Middle East were discussed.
In December 2025, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said in an interview with Izvestia that the grain harvest in Russia should reach 170 million tons by 2030. He noted that the production of agricultural products will have to be increased by a quarter by this year. Currently, Russia holds a leading position in the world in terms of harvesting, with grain volumes consistently exceeding 120 million tons for seven years.
