Russia and Azerbaijan expressed their desire to deepen cooperation

Moscow and Baku expressed their mutual desire to build mutually beneficial cooperation. This was stated on April 15 in a joint statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

It is indicated that the parties have reached a proper settlement of the consequences of the crash of the AZAL Airline flight near Aktau in December 2024.

"We express our confidence that the progressive development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations based on mutual respect, trust and consideration of the interests of the parties will further contribute to strengthening good—neighborly relations and expanding cooperation in the interests of the peoples of the two states," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
