Beglov announced the opening of the GUAP Technopark

The GUAP Technopark was officially opened in St. Petersburg, the press service of Governor Alexander Beglov told.

According to the mayor, the new project will help strengthen the technological leadership of St. Petersburg, in particular, in the field of UAV production, and will also play a significant role in training engineering personnel for the urban industry.

"Science and new technologies are one of the ten key priorities of St. Petersburg's development in the coming years. We are building and designing Technology Valleys and other growth centers, increasing innovation costs, and supporting young scientists. The opening of a new technopark based on GUAP is an important event in the field of engineering education and scientific and technological development of the city. The technopark will allow us to further narrow the gap between education and the real demands of the St. Petersburg industry, involve students in solving practical problems, and accelerate the implementation of developments," said Alexander Beglov.

Five key innovation development sites will operate at once in the new technopark: the Center for Unmanned Transport Systems, the Center for Collective Use, the Center for Pre—university Training "Quantorium", the Industrial Training Ground for Collaborative Robotics "Indutech" and the Office of Technological Leadership. The mayor emphasized the importance of the area related to unmanned systems. According to Alexander Beglov, the GUAP Technopark will help strengthen St. Petersburg's position as one of the leaders in the production of UAVs and the training of specialists in this field.

The Center for Unmanned Transport Systems is a specialized site of the Technopark, combining advanced developments in the field of robotics and unmanned vehicles. The Center serves as an integrator between the academic community and industrial partners. It is equipped with modern machine tools, a 3D printer, and equipment for UAV control and operation.
