On April 15, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, admitted that amid the fighting in the Middle East, Ukraine has such a shortage of missiles for Patriot air defense systems that "it couldn't be worse."

"If the war [in the Middle East] lasts longer, there will be fewer weapons for Ukraine. <...> We now have such a shortage that it could not be worse," Zelensky said in an interview with the German ZDF television channel, speaking about missiles for Patriot systems.

He also noted that the United States is paying less and less attention to Ukraine in the light of the conflict with Iran.

Zelensky stated on March 3 that Ukraine may have difficulties obtaining missiles and weapons that the United States itself now needs in its operation against Iran. Prior to that, he complained that Patriot air defense missiles were not delivered to Ukraine on time due to a tranche unpaid by Europe under the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative, which provides for rapid arms supplies through contributions from NATO countries.

On April 14, American Vice President Jay Dee Vance announced that the United States would no longer participate in the supply and purchase of weapons for Ukraine. Vance noted that the United States offered European countries to independently resolve the issue of purchasing weapons for the needs of the Kiev regime.

The President of Ukraine stated a few days earlier that Ukraine was entering a difficult period at the front and negotiations until September. According to Zelensky, during this period, pressure on the country is possible, which will also be felt at the front.
