In May, KAMAZ will maintain a five-day working week and work for a full month as usual due to the refinement of the production program. The company's press service announced this on April 15.

Taking into account the accumulated volume of orders, Sergey Kogogin, the company's CEO, signed an order according to which KAMAZ workers will work for 18 days in May, taking into account holidays and weekends — May 1, May 9 and May 27.

"A number of successfully implemented projects and the conclusion of new contracts for the supply of products made it possible to ensure full production capacity in May," the company said.

At the end of March, it became known that KAMAZ was studying the transition to a one-day work week starting on June 1, and the company's production plan for this year could be reduced. As the company explained, this is due to weak market growth prospects and pressure from imported machinery from manufacturers in China.

According to Rosstat, the production of trucks in Russia in January-February decreased by 33.1% and amounted to 15,000 units. In February, the output amounted to 9.3 thousand units (-31.3%).

Earlier, on March 25, it was reported that JAC Motors and the KamAZ-master motorsport team announced the beginning of cooperation in motorsport. Several models from the Chinese brand's line will act as escort vehicles during rally races, will serve as logistical support for crews and press cars, and perform other tasks.
