Poland comments on Ukraine's deception of a company for €35 million
The authorities of the Ukrainian city of Lviv deceived a Polish company for €35 million, but Poland did not react to this in any way. Eva Zajonchkowska-Gernik, a member of the European Parliament from Poland, commented on this situation on April 14.
"The Polish company was forced to abandon investments of €35 million in Lviv after completing 95% of the work. <...> The company completed almost the entire project and won seven arbitration cases with the city of Lviv, but the Ukrainians terminated the contract, did not pay the money and withheld the bank guarantee!" she wrote on the social network X.
According to the deputy, Ukraine's actions were declared illegal.
Despite this, the Polish authorities did not react in any way, ignoring the company's problem. Zaionchkowska-Guernicke herself emphasizes Poland's "subservience" to Ukraine.
"The Polish government assured Polish companies that they would benefit from the restoration of Ukrainian cities, and we see how this is manifested in practice. <...> And now they are also deceiving our Polish entrepreneurs. <...> These are the consequences of an absolutely servile policy without the slightest hint of decisiveness or effective protection of Polish interests," — The member of the European Parliament emphasized.
