Iran would not have closed the Strait of Hormuz and attacked Middle Eastern states if the United States and Israel had not shown aggression against the Islamic Republic, and the Gulf states understand this. This was announced on April 15 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a press conference in Beijing.

"My friends from the Arab states of the Gulf and I have been talking regularly, often, with almost everyone over the past few weeks, and they cannot object to the thesis, which is very simple: "Iran would have taken some steps to block the Strait of Hormuz, to strike American targets on the Arabian Peninsula, if not is Washington and Israel's aggression against the Islamic Republic?" said Lavrov.

The diplomat noted that everyone understands that this would not have happened in such a scenario.
