- The Pentagon reported on the absence of ships that had overcome the Iranian naval blockade.
During the first day of the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, not a single ship bound for Iran passed through the water corridor. This was announced on April 14 by the Central Command of the American Armed Forces (CENTCOM) on the social network X.
"In the first 24 hours, not a single vessel overcame the blockade, while six merchant vessels complied with the demand of the American forces to turn around and return to the Iranian ports in the Gulf of Oman," the statement said.
