The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in Moscow remains at the level of last week. This was announced by the press service of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) in the capital on Tuesday, April 14.

"Epidemic thresholds have not been exceeded both in the total population and in all age groups," the Moscow City News Agency quoted the report as saying.

The ministry recalled that it is important to follow measures to prevent respiratory diseases: it is necessary to wash hands with soap or treat them with an antiseptic, use a mask when visiting public places, and keep the surrounding area clean.

The epidemiological situation of influenza and SARS is under constant control of the department, the press service added.

On April 6, the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, announced that the agency had begun preparations for a new epidemic season for influenza, according to the website. kp.ru . According to the Minister, the Ministry of Health has already begun work on the preparation of vaccine strains, RT reports.
