- Reuters reported on the signing by Kiev and Oslo of an agreement on the production of UAVs in Norway.
Ukraine and Norway have signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, including the production of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Norwegian territory. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on April 14.
"Norway will support the production of drones in Ukraine, and Ukraine, in turn, will share data, information and knowledge with Norway. <...> Ukrainian drones will also be produced in Norway," the publication says.
As noted by the Prime Minister of the kingdom, Jonas Gare Stere, Norway could "learn lessons" from the experience that Ukraine gained during the conflict.
On April 8, NRK TV channel noted that Ukraine has not yet received the F-16 fighter jets promised by Norway back in 2023. Of the six aircraft, none has yet been put into service. It is specified that two of the six aircraft were previously used to train Ukrainian pilots in Denmark, but now they have been in a workshop in Belgium for over a year.
