In the Pskov region, 1.1 billion rubles were spent on the purchase of agricultural machinery

Agricultural machinery worth 1.1 billion rubles has been purchased in the Pskov Region since the beginning of 2026. Nikolai Romanov, the Minister of Agriculture of the region, told about this on the air of PLN FM radio.

"The state has allocated us half a billion rubles under an individual program for the purchase of equipment. Now we have purchased a total of one billion one hundred thousand vehicles. Naturally, the most modern equipment is being bought, there is no point in another one," the Pskov News Feed quotes the minister.

According to Romanov, the bulk of purchases is made up of domestic and Chinese equipment. The minister called the Belarusian one the most reliable and repairable, but at the same time noted its backwardness from modern requirements, including the cabin left over from the 80s of the last century.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture also noted that machine operators are interested in working conditions and tractor production when applying for a job. For example, they are interested in the presence of an air conditioner in the cabin. Basically, farmers and farms are no longer considering the purchase of outdated equipment.
