Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Tuesday, April 14, announced in the MACH messenger the start of work on the foundation of the new building of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine on Bolshaya Sukharevskaya Square.

According to him, to speed up construction, excavation and monolithic works will be carried out in parallel. He noted that for the first time, the "wall in the ground" technology is being used for the construction of a medical facility, which makes it possible to create underground structures without an open excavation, the Moscow City News agency reports. This method has proven itself well in difficult urban conditions and at high groundwater levels. Sobyanin added that the area of the new complex will exceed 150 thousand square meters. m. The structure will include five interconnected blocks, two of which will become architectural dominants and will be in harmony with the historical building of the XIX century. Landscaping will be carried out on the adjacent territory.
