- An employee of a beauty salon in Moscow was given a preventive measure after the death of a patient
An employee of a beauty salon in Moscow, where a patient died during a brachioplasty procedure, was given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions for two months. This was announced on April 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
The procedure was performed by doctor Svetlana Tsutyur. According to the investigation, Tsutyur did not have a license to perform brachioplasty, as a result of which her actions led to a sharp deterioration in the woman's health. A case was opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal conduct of medical or pharmaceutical activities that negligently caused the death of a person").
At the court hearing, the doctor's lawyer argued that she was a professional and had shown foresight. In addition, according to him, the woman has stage IV cancer and group I disability. Tsutyur also has an adult daughter.
The investigator requested two months of house arrest for the defendant, but in the end the court imposed a more lenient measure of restraint.
The patient died during a medical procedure in the center of Moscow the day before. It was noted that the woman who performed the procedure rented an office in the clinic. At the same time, she did not have the appropriate license to provide medical services.
The Izvestia source also reported that the patient had brachioplasty, a hand lift. According to his information, the 39-year-old client of the salon was injected with the drug Lidocaine, after which she went into anaphylactic shock. Shortly after, a criminal case was opened into the incident.
