Some Russians can receive their pension savings not in the form of a monthly increase, but in one amount up to 440 thousand rubles. This was announced on Tuesday, April 14, by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes Kaplan Panesh.

The deputy explained that in 2026, citizens whose monthly funded pension does not exceed 10% of the pensioner's subsistence minimum of 1,628 rubles and 80 kopecks are eligible for a lump sum payment. If the estimated monthly payment is less than this threshold, all savings can be withdrawn at once. A citizen is entitled to a lump sum payment if the amount of savings is up to 439,776 rubles, he said.

According to the parliamentarian, first of all, men who have reached the age of 60 and women who have reached the age of 55, who have not acquired the right to an old-age insurance pension, that is, they have not gained the necessary length of service or pension points, as well as citizens whose funded pension is less than 10% of the pensioner's subsistence level., set for the current year in the amount of 16,288 rubles.

People with disabilities and people who have lost a breadwinner and have pension savings can also receive a lump sum.

Panes said that the maximum amount of savings for which a lump sum payment is possible is calculated using a simple formula: the pensioner's living wage is multiplied by 10%, and then by 270 months. That makes 439,776 rubles.

"Thus, if your retirement savings do not exceed this amount, you can receive them in one payment. If they exceed it, a monthly lifetime increase to the insurance pension will be assigned," the deputy explained in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

He added that if pension savings are formed both at the expense of insurance contributions from the employer, and at the expense of maternity capital or state co-financing, then two applications can be submitted: for a lifetime payment on basic savings and for an urgent payment (for 10 years). by means of co-financing and maternity capital, NSN reports.

You can find out the amount of your pension savings by ordering an extract from your individual personal account through the Gosuslugi portal or from the customer service of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR).

"If you do not submit an application, the savings will continue to be in the account and will be paid in the form of a monthly increase to the pension, which may turn out to be very small," the deputy concluded.

Earlier, on April 11, Oleg Moshlyak, CEO of the non-governmental pension fund "Future", said that middle-income Russians have the opportunity to save an additional million for retirement, saving 2-3 thousand rubles a month, the Moscow city News agency reports. He clarified that if you save 2-3 thousand rubles a month, then taking into account co-financing from the state for 10 years, you can save about a million rubles.

Earlier, on March 26, the chief lawyer of the Moya Udalenka service, Valeria Minakova, explained that the self-employed need to independently form pension rights and savings. Voluntary contributions and savings programs are suitable for this, writes RIAMO.
