UAZ has upgraded the car finishing paint site
In the paint production of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, the modernization of the finishing paint section of UAZ cars and Sollers pickups has been completed. The implemented set of solutions made it possible to improve product quality, increase productivity and create more comfortable and safe working conditions for employees, the company told Izvestia on April 15.
A key element of the project was the launch of a second polishing line with an automatic conveyor and a body distribution table between the lines. Now the inspection and polishing of bodies are carried out in time with the line, allowing you to withstand the technological cycle in one working shift. Both lines can operate in two automatic modes.: both polishing lines and body storage, and switching between tasks takes only a few seconds, UAZ noted.
After polishing the body of the Sollers pickups, they are automatically sent to the newly installed masking lines No. 1 or No. 2. Then they arrive at the transmission table and then into the chamber for applying a protective compound (polycarbamide). Previously, the distribution of bodies between the stages was carried out manually, now the process is fully automated, for which the electronics have been upgraded at the site.
In addition, attention was paid to improving working conditions: more than 120 modern lighting fixtures were installed at the site and the supply ventilation was upgraded along the entire line, which improved the illumination of workplaces and the microclimate in industrial premises, the company shared.
Earlier, on April 10, it was reported that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant does not plan to stop production of CGR cars (various versions of the so-called "Loaf") and "Hunter" in the foreseeable future.
