On April 14, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan stated that Armenia does not pose a threat to Russia and does not intend to enter into conflict with it. This was announced on April 14 by Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic Alen Simonyan.

"We are not going to fight with Russia. All questions will be raised, and we will strive to move forward by solving them. We do not pose a threat to Russia, and we have no intention of becoming a threat," TASS quoted Simonyan as saying.

Simonyan also noted that disagreements between countries are a normal phenomenon, and they can always be resolved through negotiations.

On April 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the aggravation of internal political processes on the eve of the elections in Armenia should not harm relations between Moscow and Yerevan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, stressed that the construction and strengthening of relations between the two countries will continue regardless of the outcome of the vote in the republic.
