The State Duma (State Duma) adopted in the first reading a draft law on the right to involve the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to protect Russians arrested by a decision of foreign courts without the participation of Russia. This follows from the updated information on the website of the legislative support system.

"The draft <...> was developed in order to protect the rights of citizens of the Russian Federation in the event of their arrest (detention), criminal and other prosecution pursuant to decisions of courts of foreign states authorized in the field of criminal proceedings by other foreign states without the participation of the Russian Federation," the explanatory note says.
