The first deliveries of Russian MC-21 medium-haul passenger aircraft in the amount of 18 units are scheduled for 2026-2027. This was announced on April 14 by Gennady Abramenkov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.

"Deliveries of the first batch: currently 18 machines have been contracted, their delivery is scheduled for 2026-2027," TASS quoted him as saying.

It is noted that certification tests are currently underway: 76 of the 232 required flights have been completed on two prototypes, as well as 112 test flights. Abramenkov noted that serial production of the aircraft is already underway based on current documentation. At the same time, in case of changes during certification, appropriate adjustments are made to the aircraft being produced.

Dmitry Yadrov, head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, announced on March 20 that certification for the production of domestic IL-114-300, MC-21 and SJ-100 aircraft would take place during this year. It is noted that all tests on the IL-114-300 have been completed, and the certificate is scheduled to be issued in May-June of this year.
