The Philippines intends to get the US authorities to extend the permit for the purchase of Russian oil. This was announced on April 14 by the country's Energy Minister Sharon Garin.
"We have contacted the Foreign Ministry regarding a further window of opportunity or an extension of the lifting of the embargo. They contacted our ambassador to the United States, and now we are waiting for a response from them," she said in a broadcast on PTV Philippines.
