According to IA UlanMedia, Mount Mamai is a point of attraction for tourists. Fans of skiing, mountain trekking and freeride come to it. The resort is one of the five most popular ski resorts in Russia.

In 2024, Mamai was included in the list of specially protected natural areas. The control of state inspectors began to work here, full houses appeared. A fee was introduced for visiting the resort. Hunting, fishing, and mining are prohibited in the park. In addition, mass events, the organization of tourist camps, bonfires, and blasting are prohibited.

According to Sergey Klimov, head of the Baikal Extreme Federation of Extreme Sports and Travel in Buryatia, who promotes the idea of developing tourism in Mamai, over the past five years, a powerful tourist flow of outdoor enthusiasts has formed in the park not only from all over Russia, but also from abroad.

In early April, it was reported that a rare predator, the burial eagle, had flown into Tunka National Park in Buryatia. The bird is listed in the Red Book of the region and Russia. The feathered man was spotted in the vicinity of the villages of Zun-Murino and Zhemchug. Only a few pairs of this rare species nest in the Tunka Valley.
