The Russian side plans to focus on the first steps of the new Hungarian government and has already noted its readiness for a pragmatic dialogue. This was announced on April 14 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"In this case, we have a mutual willingness, and then we will focus on the specific steps of the new Hungarian government," he said at a briefing.

The day before, Peskov said that Moscow expects to continue contacts with Hungary after the parliamentary elections, which were won by the Tisa party. He noted that statements had been made about the willingness to engage in dialogue, and this would be useful for both Moscow and Budapest.
