Avtodor plans to expand the functionality of photo- and video-recording cameras on emergency commissars' vehicles in 2026. This was stated by the head of the state-owned company Vyacheslav Petushenko, TASS reported on April 14. According to him, the complexes will begin to record stops on the side of the road, drivers without seat belts and the use of a phone while driving.

There are 164 crews of emergency commissioners working on Avtodor's routes, and four photo- and video-recording complexes are installed on each vehicle. They record significant speeding on the M-4 "Don", M-11 "Neva" and M-12 "Vostok" highways.

Petushenko noted that last year, accidents on the state-owned company's highways decreased by 11.4%, while the network grew by almost 1,000 km, and the death toll decreased by 18%.

The head of Avtodor also recalled the introduction of musical markings on the M-11 and M-12 sections and noted that it also contributes to increased safety. For example, no accidents were recorded at three sites in the Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir regions after marking.

Earlier, on April 9, it was reported that the government of the Russian Federation published a new version of the program of activities of the state-owned Avtodor company for the period from 2026 to 2030. It follows from the document that the total amount of financing for the construction and reconstruction of roads has been increased from 832 billion rubles to 1.05 trillion rubles.
