Indonesia told about Putin's Russian gift for Subianto
Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto with a samovar. This was reported on April 14 by the Indonesian agency ANTARA.
"Putin presented the Indonesian leader with a samovar, a traditional symbol of Russian culture associated with tea drinking," the agency said in a statement.
In response, Subianto presented the Russian leader with a vase with a traditional Indonesian batik pattern and a miniature replica of the Borobudur Temple, one of Indonesia's most famous architectural and cultural monuments.
At the meeting with Subianto, Putin said that energy and space are promising areas for cooperation between Russia and Indonesia. He also expressed the hope that Moscow and Jakarta will be able to find solutions to maintain a stable situation in bilateral trade. Subianto, in turn, thanked Putin for his personal support on important issues for Indonesia.
After the negotiations, the Russian president personally escorted the guest to his car. The two leaders shook hands and exchanged a few words with a smile.
