Rostec announced successful tests of drone swarm technology
Rostec State Corporation has successfully tested drone swarm technology to ensure the destruction of complex enemy targets. This was announced on the organization's website on April 14.
"Rostec State Corporation specialists have developed a technology for the group use of attack drones. Combat vehicles in such a complex exchange target data with each other in automatic mode," the message says.
According to the state corporation, the system is based on Supercam drones and includes aircraft-type barrage munitions, launchers and a mobile control center.
During the tests, a group of drones searched for targets, after which one of the devices transmitted the coordinates of the detected target to the others. After confirmation by the operator, the target was attacked by all the drones of the complex.
The corporation added that testing of the technology will continue, and in the future such solutions can be used to overcome air defense systems.
On March 12, Rostec reported that the state corporation had developed a new long-range barrage munition designed to destroy enemy military installations located deep in the rear. It is noted that this development has high speed and maneuverability, which makes it possible to use various flight profiles to bypass air defense zones.
