In eight regions of Russia, April 21 was declared a day off in connection with the Orthodox Memorial Day. Tatiana Podolskaya, an expert at the RANEPA Presidential Academy, recalled this on April 14.

"April 21, 2026 has been declared a non-working day in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Irkutsk, Penza, Bryansk and Saratov regions, as well as the Adyghe and Kabardino—Balkarian Republics in connection with the Orthodox Memorial Day (Radonitsa)," she told RIA Novosti.
