Next month, two full moons can be observed in the sky at once, they are expected on May 1 and 31. This was announced on April 14 by Alexander Alekseev, a researcher at the Physics and Astronomy Department of the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of Fine Arts.

"May 2026 is interesting because it will have two full moons — on May 1 and 31. This is a rare phenomenon, it happens every few years," he told RIA Novosti.
