In Russia, since the beginning of the season, more than 6 thousand people have sought medical help in connection with tick bites. This was announced on April 14 on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

"Since the beginning of the season, more than 6 thousand people have applied to medical organizations in connection with tick bites," the department said.

It is noted that the largest number of bites was registered in the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Crimea, in the Rostov, Lipetsk, Chelyabinsk, Leningrad, Moscow, Kostroma, Voronezh, Samara and Omsk regions, as well as in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

In addition, in Russia in 2026, more than 1.2 million people were vaccinated against tick-borne viral encephalitis.
