A woman who made a hookah on a cake was detained in Moscow.
Moscow police have detained a woman who made a hookah on an Easter cake and posted the footage online. This was reported on April 13 in the department's channel in the MAX messenger.
"I regret my action. <...> I promise not to do this in the future," the girl said.
A 27-year-old native of Saransk was detained on 3rd Kabelnaya Street in Moscow, near Aviamotornaya metro station. She told law enforcement officers that she did not want to hurt anyone's feelings or offend anyone with her act.
Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on insulting the feelings of believers against a girl who made a hookah on a cake. The agency found signs of a crime under Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion"). The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 300 thousand rubles to a year in prison.
