Likhachev allowed the emergence of nuclear energy in Indonesia in 2031

Indonesia will become the owner of nuclear energy in 2031, if everything goes according to plan. This was announced on April 13 by Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation.

"We are advanced in negotiations on floating nuclear power plants, including working with commercial companies, moving through the decision-making stages. If everything goes according to our plan, Indonesia will become the owner of nuclear energy in 2031," he told IS Vesti.

On the same day, Likhachev announced that a project to build a floating nuclear power plant (NPP) was in the most advanced stage of negotiations between Rosatom and representatives from Indonesia.
