The air defense forces shot down 23 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of Russia in six hours.

Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 23 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in six hours over the regions of Russia. This was announced on April 13 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 14:00 Moscow time to 20:00 Moscow time, 23 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that the drones were neutralized over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vologda and Kursk regions.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense announced that the air defense forces had eliminated 33 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the territory of the Russian Federation overnight. It was clarified that the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov, Bryansk, Smolensk regions, as well as over the Republic of Crimea.
