On April 13, the Berlin football club (FC) Union responded to sexist comments about the appointment of Marie-Louise Eta to the post of head coach of the team.

The new coach replaced Steffen Baumgart. Some users on the social network questioned her professional training, and also predicted a negative reaction from the club's players to her appointment.

"When it comes to sexism, all the fun disappears," the club wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter) in response to one of the statements, the user later deleted his comment.

The club also called it sexist to suggest that male players would not take the new coach seriously and recalled that this one had previously been an assistant coach.

Marie-Louise Eta was appointed the day before to the post of head coach of the German FC Union. The agreement with the specialist is calculated until the end of the current season. Marie-Louise Eta became the first woman to hold the post of head coach of the men's team in the top division of the German championship.
