- Registration for the video essay contest in the NC "Russia" has been extended until April 27.
Registration for the II season of the All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future" continues at the National Center "Russia". The project engages the younger generation in research, creative and innovative activities and gives young people the opportunity to share their vision of the future. You can register for the contest by April 27, and submit your essay by April 30.
Teams from the regions of Russia, the CIS countries, as well as Transnistria, consisting of three people in the younger (12-15 years old) and older (16-18 years old) age categories, are invited to share their interpretation of the future. More than 1,000 participants from 57 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as from the Pridnestrovian Republic, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have already registered to participate in the competition. Registration will last until April 27, and acceptance of works will last until April 30.
According to the terms of the competition, the participating teams must prepare a video on one of the proposed topics: "Science unites", "Technology and nature", "The future is being built today", "Space". A prerequisite is to combine artificial intelligence–generated content and live footage with the participation of all team members in your video essay. The video runs from 1 to 3 minutes. The video essay must be posted on your page on the VKontakte social network, and then upload the link to the video in your personal account on the official website of the contest (https://dream.russia.ru /). After moderation, the video essays will be submitted for evaluation by an expert jury. The jury will include famous science fiction writers, experts in the field of media, culture, science, and AI technologies. They will evaluate the video essay according to the following criteria: the relevance of the chosen topic, the quality of the video sequence, sound and editing, the originality of the presentation, artistry, the quality of the use of AI technologies, references to fiction, games and films.
The competition opens up limitless possibilities for imagination: you can show a picture of the desired future, rethink the plots of your favorite science fiction books, or argue with the ideas of reputable science fiction authors. The jury will award the team an additional point for references to works from the list of recommended literature.
The best works will be announced on June 7 at the award ceremony at the Rossiya National Center. The winners and prize–winners will receive valuable prizes: a laptop for the first place, a tablet for the second, and a smartphone for the third. A special prize from Natalia Virtuozova, General Director of the National Center for Russia, is a trip to one of the branches of the National Center for Russia for all team members.
In 2025, 792 teams took part in the All-Russian competition "Dreams of the Future". These are 4,000 people from 89 regions of the country. 20 teams became finalists of the first "Dreams of the Future" competition.
The All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future" continues its work to revive public interest in designing the future, which was launched at the International Symposium "Creating the Future".
