The Shpagin Plant project is being launched in Perm with the support of the Potanin Foundation. A new dimension" for the development of a socio-cultural cluster in the historical center of the city. The presentation took place at the Izvestia press center.

"In this project, my colleagues and I deliberately went to experiment," said Oksana Oracheva, General Director of the Potanin Foundation. She stressed that the Potanin Foundation traditionally supports initiatives at the junction of different directions, "which, it would seem, are difficult to combine, but which give rise to new formats and meanings."

According to Oracheva, the peculiarity of the project is that cultural institutions with already established reputations and experience have come to the industrial site.

Tatiana Vostrikova, Director of the Perm Museum of Local Lore, noted that the opening of the museum would allow for a new presentation of the global scientific brand, make it more accessible to a wide audience, and at the same time build a long-term partnership model between institutions.

Yulia Tavrizyan, Director of the Perm State Art Gallery, stressed that the new building significantly expands the opportunities for working with visitors and implementing joint projects. In her opinion, the emerging synergy will be useful for both the audience and the residents of the cluster themselves.

Anna Volk, General Director of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater, spoke about plans to develop experimental formats at the Shpagin Plant. These are projects that will be able to combine theater, music, visual arts and education: theater workshops, children's programs and musical events with exhibition projects.

According to Angelina Makienko, director of the Diaghilev Foundation for the Support of Cultural Initiatives, participation in the project will allow for the scaling up of practices combining different artistic approaches.

The Shpagin Plant project. The New Dimension was supported by the Potanin Foundation as part of the Museum Without Borders program.
