The lawyer warned about fines for unauthorized buildings in the country
Russians may face fines of up to 20,000 rubles or the requirement to demolish outbuildings in suburban areas, including baths, garages and sheds. Lawyer Sergey Zhorin announced this on April 13.
The lawyer explained that such facilities can be recognized as unauthorized buildings in accordance with art. 222 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. In this case, their use is prohibited, and the owner may be ordered to eliminate violations or demolish the structure. For residential and garden houses, there is a notification procedure for construction, and in case of non-compliance with the established standards, the authorities have the right to send a notification of violations.
Fines are also possible for violations related to the use of land plots. One of the most common cases is the misuse of land or the unauthorized occupation of part of the territory. For such violations, fines are provided in the amount of 0.5 to 1% of the cadastral value of the site, but not less than 10 thousand rubles. If the cadastral value is not determined, the amount of the fine can range from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles.
In addition, sanctions may be applied if buildings or fences go beyond the boundaries of the site. In such situations, the fine for citizens ranges from 1 to 1.5% of the cadastral value, but not less than 5 thousand rubles, or from 5 thousand to 10 thousand rubles in the absence of a cadastral valuation.
Lawyer David Taranovsky said on March 21 that summer residents in Russia can receive a fine of up to 5,000 rubles for incorrectly installing an outdoor toilet on the site. He clarified that the amount of the fine for this is not explicitly stated, however, violation of sanitary standards falls under Article 6.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and entails a warning or fine.
